The Natural Carer – nature and compassion in end of life care
When talking about how we can support each other in life and in death, the American spiritual teacher, psychologist, and author Ram Dass said, "We are all just walking each other home."
When someone is nearing the end of life, we want to help them in the best way we can. We want to be there for them. We want to know what to say, or how to be comfortable in the silence of unknowingness. We want to create connection.
Caring for someone as they and you are contemplating and nearing the end of life is one of the most profound things you will ever do. It isn't always easy. But it can be beautiful.
Modern society has unhooked death from its natural place in the life cycle, yet when we explore what it means to be dying, we discover so much about living. There is such beauty and simplicity in Ram Dass's idea of walking each other home. It helps us deepen connections and discover more about the ways we can support those we love in life, and at the end of life.
The Natural Carer Workshop draws on the three-month Natural Carer training that is offered here at the Centre for Nature Connection, to help equip you with ideas and methods that can transform the way we can care for others, and ourselves.
The workshop is limited to just eight people so that we can be in the healing and sacred space of the Centre for Nature Connection.
This one-day workshop looks at:
Paperwork for peace of mind – Power of attorney, advance care directives, wills
Book of Wishes – capturing how we wish to be cared for at a deeper level of soul, emotion and spirit

“It would be impossible to ever plumb the depths of Georgina’s knowledge in natural healing and the ways of the universe; attending one of her courses is like diving into a vast and unfathomable ocean. You will never be the same once you have done a course with Georgina and one course will never be enough.”
